Water in Cabin
I have read some posts about the older Formulas having leak problems. I knew of the problems when I purchased my 357. I resealed the hatch that was leaking but still have water intrusion during rainstorms. I need some advice on where else water can get through. The forward bilge pump went out while I was on the road and I just removed aout 20 gallons of water from the cabin. I think the windshield is the culprit but did not realize that it would let that much water in. It has been about three weeks since I was last in the cabin with two brief rainstorms pouring down and another one just starting.
Thanks for the advice |
Re: Water in Cabin
I also just picked up a 357. I have found leaks in the cabin coming from the bow rail, bow light even the rub rail screws almost every screw that went through the deck was leaking a small amount of water in to the cabin. If you have not I would check all the screws on the boat really. Almost 90% of them on mine were loose from the railings to the deck joint.

Re: Water in Cabin
The screws that fasten the windshield are likely the culprit, remove the rubber insert, coat them all in sealer and reinstall.

Re: Water in Cabin
