Watching TV today came across a movie on TMC, (New Adventures of Flipper). Got me thinking back to the TV show.
TRIVA ? : From the TV show "Flipper", what was the boat that Porter Rick had? (Year, Length, Make, Model) PART II (EXTRA CREDIT) Name the person who designed that boat? You may start now!!!! |
Re: Formula/Thunderbird Trivia?
I surely do not know the answer, but since we are on trivia, what/who's Black SR1 is in the Pegged video? That is a sweet boat. I like the look with the arch on it too!

Used to watch it religiously since my Dad had one. A 1964 with a 75 Evinrude. I believe the Flipper boat was a 65 or 66 and one also had twin Merc I/Os

Hard to see but still had clear plastic covers on seats from factory. Little did I know 42 years later I would have my own with over 1000 more hp

Re: Formula/Thunderbird Trivia?
On the trivia topic and in spirit of Miami Vice opening everywhere today:
1. We all know Crockett lived on a boat. What Make, length, and name? 2. What was the pet that guarded the boat and his name? 3. What car did he drive? 4. Originally Crocket worked alone. Where did Tubbs come from and why ws he in Miami? |
Re: Formula/Thunderbird Trivia?
1. Don't Know. Some kind of blow boat.
2. Alligator named Elvis. 3. Ferrari Dayton Spyder in the early episodes and then a Testerossa 4. Tubbs came from New York to find the "Columbian" that killed his brother. I have too much free time. Just watched the pilot episode last night. :evilb: :evilb: :evilb: Extra Credit: What brand and size of boat did Crockett drive in the first episode? |
Re: Formula/Thunderbird Trivia?
Sea-Dated-- 3 of 4, yes alot of free time on your hands. Blow boat was an Endeavour 42 named "Sr. Vitus' Dance".
I dont know the extra credit question and cant find the magazine that had it. However in the pilot episode his gun was a Browning BDA and his ankle gun was a Detonics Combat Master. Maybe I have too much free time also. |
Re: Formula/Thunderbird Trivia?
The boat was a 39' Chris Craft Stinger. Not sure of the year. Would guess an 84'.
