NEW Chesapeake Get-Together thread - September 2, 2006
 

Just to make sure that we get everyone's attention, here is a new thread to take over from the updated Rendezvous thread.

There is a proposal to get together for lunch and whatever at Dock Of The Bay restaurant near Hart-Miller Island/Patapsco River on Saturday, September 2. I am more than happy to show up, as long as I am not the only one. So far, calls have been made to DOTB, and they are willing to work with the group, but have made no commitments. I have only seen one or two others post that they're coming.

Let's get the ball rolling, here: Who's in?

LANDMARKS BY WATER
DOCK OF THE BAY IS LOCATED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE CRAIGHILL LIGHTHOUSE & PLEASURE ISLAND ( THE ISLAND SOUTH OF HARTMILLER ISLAND ), IN THE CUT ON THE CHESAPEAKE BAY. IT IS SITUATED ON CUCKOLD POINT JUST NORTH OF NORTH POINT STATE PARK. JUST LOOK FOR THE PINK BUILDING WITH GREEN AWNINGS.

If coming by boat:
Our pier is 105ft long, serving boaters on a first come first serve basis. There is no charge to dock at the Dock of the Bay. The depth at the end of the pier is approximately six feet at normal tide.

We are looking forward to it. We are coming from the Rhodes or South River (I might switch marinas by then). I'm guess it's 30-35 miles by water. I need to figure out how to work the GPS that came with the boat.

Should we cross promote the cruise to the other formula board?
