Discounts on an ordered 2007 370SS?

Hello Formula boat owners. I own a beak boat now, but was at the boat show over the weekend and the wife likes the 370SS. I was thinking a 370SS with 525s would be a good compromise boat, he said 62-64 mph. It would be a change of pace from the 90 mph the current boat does. I was curious what kind of discounts have you seen on an ordered Formula? I got 28% off on my Donzi and 32% off on the Fountain. The Formula dealer told me that a smoking deal was 20% off. Is he blowing smoke up my butt? I know they need to make money somewhere since they give away allot with the financing deals they do and the five year warranty. Also is the 5 year warranty is good as he says it is? I have had plenty of warranties that they one item that breaks is the item that they do not cover.
Does anyone own a 370SS that would like to comment about the boat? Thanks Mike

Formula stands behind their chit!!!
I bought my first Formula a couple years ago and called the factory for some things I needed/wanted. They sent the stuff right out at no cost.......the kicker is, I bought the boat 7 years old USED. They have since answered many questions and done everything I needed them to at no or minimal costs. Just think of how they would take care of you if you bought the boat NEW.

BTW: I would seriously consider buying from Magicfloat, he's the reason I'm into a 382 several years ahead of schedule!

That is good to hear. So I am told it covers basically everything.

That is the kind of service that you do not hear enough of in the boat business.

While I understand the need to get the most bang for your buck, look at all the other manufacturers that have people complaining about boats they just took delivery of. (GD has a conflict thread about Fountain right now) Formula's customer service has to be worth a little extra when comparing prices. Maybe you can find an 06 near that 30% discount you mentioned.

I agree on the customer service end, I would rather pay a little more and get great customer service. I never have had any problems with Fountain factory customer service ( I have had 2 of them). One dealer was great (Shogrens) and one dealer sucked! ( they do not sell Fountains anymore). But at the same time I do not want to get taken advantage of. I am that kind of customer the boat dealerships like. I have never kept a boat longer than 3 years, with most of them being just under 2 years. I think I have a serious problem. :D

You really need to call it an Extend service agreement not a 5yr. warranty. That means that wearable items i.e. batteries, hoses. belts and such are NOT covered(no one else covers these from day one) When I tell a customer it has a 1yr. warranty it means everything. The 4 years Captain class extended service agreement takes over. It makes a standard 6mo. warranty on a item
extend out to coverage for certain parts on that item to 4 years. Your choice of a 370SS is EXCELLENT. You will not be sorry, and a 20% deal in these days of 6.75 to 7.25% money the program will save you a bundle. You will not find better factory support and the dealer network working together will make sure your take care of in both service and resale value. I sell a lot of 370SS,400SS and have never had a 525 370SS I hope to hear how the boat runs.

Most of my customers are on a 2-3 year cycle and trade in are usually gone before I get them. With 2 years extended service left people are getting a great product for their money!

I just purchased a 330SS at the boat show in KC over the winter. Its my first boat and my eye is on a 370SS as a next step up in a few years. No other boat in its class as and 20% off is a deal if they will swing it. If memory serves this past boat show they had a 05 @ $370k +/- and were taking in down around 60k as a discount which is 16%. The paper work is at my condo down at the lake but I think I am pretty close.

496HO' are what I took a ride in and that was more than enough. Comfortable boat, you will enjoy it.

I hear ya. I would be coming from a triple engine 525 EFI 47 Lightning, so I would need the most power they would put in the boat. They will go up to the 525s for the 370. Mike

The warranty and service is second to none. 20% off would be a good deal.

I second the idea that you should talk to Majicfloat... he is a great representative for Formula and someone you would want to work with.

That being said, you probably can get more % off IF you do not do the finacing deal... you pay one way or the other for a quality boat.

Great boat choice.

I'm in my second 382 that I bought from MajicFloat. I live 20 minutes from the Formula factory. I have the best of both worlds :drink:

(Do the 525's!!!)

20% is great- I bought 1 1/2 years ago and took delivery of a new 05 400SS with 525's. Pretty boat! If I recall 20% was best deal I could find nationwide working between fountain and formula.

Gor for it!

I will tell you it was major $ upgrade for 525's but they have proven to be bullet proof. I won't say that for everything else systemwise, but those engines have never even hiccuped through 2 seasons so far. And the formula finish is truely a better boat when you look side by side on fit and finish against others.

The ss series is by far a more useful boat than a straight go fast- You can go slow or fast with a crowd and there is decent speed and decibles- when you need it. But you won't win any races against a true go fast - I am counting the days until they are rigged for the new mercs 1050's or 875s - thats when I trade!

You would do reall well with a 370SS outfitted with 525's.....
