I work in the nuclear power industry,,,, these types of failure descriptions just roll off our tongues. :D

Although, we collectively hope to never experience such catastrophic failure in any nuclear safety-related piece of equipment. Therein lie the underpinnings of preventive maintenance.

I liked this one: "cylinder case failure"
Hey Formula Outlaw (Russ?) glad to see you're still poking around in here once in a while. So you're going to Nashville to be a country music star eh? :D I think I've read every one of your 311 posts; they could probably be used as a 311 FAQ.
So ya think these mills are nice and loose now? Hmmm...1100 hrs...can I switch to synthetic yet? :evilb: Just kidding...
I know Mike (offthefront) is holding on to his spare set of MPIs for me; he's got to make a fellow Gator, same name, 311 owner a sweet deal :bunny: (what exactly is the bunny supposed to mean anyways?) ("...all I want for Christmas is two MPIs"... :p )
I went out this afternoon but man it wasn't pretty out there so no speed runs; I did some canal cruising though. I'll look to get out early tomorrow and hit some protected ICW in Miami.
Thanks everyone for the interest,
Michael

Sounds like the kind of guy that said that a person falling off a 50 story building died of "sudden deaceleration trauma". :D  :evilb:

Just curious, what kind of oil pressure are you holding at hot idle with that many hours?

Dang Cuda, I thought I was up late last night! Did Debbie forget to take the hatch off after your exhaust pics? :D
The starboard motor seems a little looser, usually around 25psi; port motor is about 5-10psi higher. Right now there's Merc 25-40 in there, still looks pretty fresh. I'm going out again today so I'll verify what they're reading, and at exactly what rpm that's at.
Thanks,
Michael
