Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Bought a 2002 382 this summer but "stole it". Value is what your willing to write a check for, but a great deal would be $125K, probable value is over $150K but boats aren't bringing top dollar right now. I had blown 500's so speed is different but was told 74 GPS anytime....certain conditions she would do better. (ITS boxes may help your numbers a little too since I don't have them). Love the ride, but coming out of a 31footer. Cigs probably ride a little better but the cabin is the CHIT on the 382!!.

There's a beautiful '03 in MN with 500, ITS, Gen, AC, Storm Graphics, Myco trailer. Prestine $199K
Figure around 75 mph |

I don't think they had a Myco..... |
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
I called the dealership and asked the same thing. They said no but it looks like the exact boat. Same options and I know he took real good care of his and I think he had a full cover like this one. I know he didn't have a generator. This boat listed is a private party that has it listed with the dealer. Maybe they swapped trailers? He had a Prestige that matched his boat and truck.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Yes, that was a former board member's boat.
Bring offers it needs to go. ;) Mint, loaded, just over 100 hours. I looked into it a couple months ago It's on brokerage where I bought my 353 They are very good people. The Prestige is still with it. Boat has been stored inside there. |
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
The former member's boat did have a genset. Don't understand the Myco, but it is the same boat, someone should jump on it. It is as good,or maybe better, than new. Or should I say it is same condition as Rippems?:drink:

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
It's not helping HIM out at all, he's out of the picture.
Moving it is helping his X-WIFE to salvage her and her son's life, she's saddled with the boat. Like I said, I have spoke to those close to the situation and SHE needs this boat to be sold, the truck also needed to go if I remember correctly. In all reality it would be a generous thing to do, to find this thing a new home. and remember, it's not the boat's fault...it's a beautiful boat. |
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Ok, my apologies.
EX wife? I did not know she dumped him. Good for her. I hope he has a miserable life when he gets out. You do know the poor girl he raped died last fall- killed by a drunk driver. Such a sad ending. Back to the action. |
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
yes, aware...:(
I just wanted to make it clear why this boat needs to be sold, who the sale would be beneficial to, and that it could most likely be had for a really attractive price considering it's condition/options, and the need to sell. There$ a reason I called and talked to Eric about it. |
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Hows 140k sound?

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Ok guys I want this thread to get back on track please. There are a lot of strong feelings on this issue but this is not the place to discuss them.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
From what I have heard the boat does better with Stelling boxes then it does with the ITS drives.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Didn't mean to stir the pot, just thought it was a great boat.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Guys- Read my first post on this thread. I am simply looking for some assistance to my questions and if 140k is a good buy on this boat. Maybe I shouldn't be in this forum. Let me know.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
why does a 2003 500 efi boat have ITS to begin with? i would check the sercvice records.....or am i wrong and that combo was offered???
|
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Runafever: I would guess that you would be looking in the low 70's for speed. That is based on the one that I drove with Stelling Boxes. PhantomCaos used to have basically that exact set up before he whippled his boat. Only difference was that he has the stelling boxes not the ITS.
The boat is SUPER stable and has not bad manners at all. Jon |

Jon You are just aching to utilize your moderator permissions! That's all! You never get to since Formula owners are so well behaved! :drink: :drink: :evilb: Geezzz........$140K? Where did that number come from? :( |
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Is 140k too much? I need too know. I sent some people too look at it yesterday and It it is a diamond.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
ITS was a factory option. I sold the boat new. It was the 2003 photo shoot boat,on the cover of the 2003 brochure. The owner added a lot of nice options, drive showers, different mufflers. Very nice boat, nicely maintained. 140K,if true is an absolute steal on this particular boat if true, but I doubt it caould be bought for that.
|
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
140k would be a very good price. If the condition is as good as it sounds, it will not last long.
|
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Runafever,if you want a 382 and 140K will buy this one,I suggest calling the broker now with a cc# for a deposit. I am dead serious,I know the boat and it's whole history.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Magicfloat is right.....$140 sounds very good!!!

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Guys- Price has already been negotiated. Boat was a fresh trade on a new boat. Please do not question the legitimacy of the deal. It is not a brokered boat. It was traded on a new boat. dealer now owns it for the right $ and offered it to me at his net. So I guess it is a good deal thanks for all of the input.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Run a fever I am a little confused is that boat that was pictured earlier the one you were looking at or is the one you are looking at a different boat?

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech

|
Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Yes there are two boats being discussed sorry. I will elaborate in the morning. Right now I am heading to the bar. MagicFloat- I will respond to your PM in the morning. Thanks for the info from all of the Fastech clan.

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Well.I think some of us got a little confused.Looks like RAF was looking at a different boat when some of us assumed he was looking at another one. No harm,no foul,he never said he was asking about the boat that was pictured at all. I got offtrack myself, assuming he was looking at one boat when he was looking at another one,my bad. But it's all good, all of us here try to help out another Formula guy:drink: Give us a little more info and I'm sure you will get answers.I think I know the boat he is looking at,and it is not the MN boat at all, but re-read his posts,he never said it was,we just assumed that.Sorry RAF if I assumed too much.Funny how a thread can get offtrack for no reason. As for me,if I don't respond quickly tomorrow,it's because we move 18 boats into the Bham Show at 6 AM Sunday, and I will not have computer access till late Sun nite.:p But I will still try to help later if I can.I love this site:cool:

Re: Real $ on a 2003 38 Fastech
Again we are talking about two different boats. The one in the pic is not it. Magicfloat- Thank you for the help in putting this thread back together. I might inspect this boat today as it is not far from my home. If I do I'll keep you posted.
Thanks Raf |
