Canvas Snap replacements?

I need a source for the rivot style snaps that Formula uses.Anybody know,Im changing out a few and I dont want to use the screw in type.My guess is they will start to crack the glass and gel around the hole so the rivot ones are probably safer?/ Magicfloat U around?

I personally think the screw in types are better. As long as the existing rivet type has not wallowed the hole out too badly (which they do) then a little 3M 5000 on a screw type will last forever. If the existing hole is in good shape and you're worried about cracking the surrounding gel, just drill the hole accordingly per the screw size. If you put new rivet types in those existing holes, they'll just loosen up again and be worse than now.

Just my .02 on snaps.

Another trick is to use a counter sink bit and chamfer the edge of the hole, this helps to cut down on the tendency of the screw to crack the gel. Then, as Bird says, a little dab of 3M "5200" to keep it from backing out.

Just adding my $.02 to Birds $.02, now you have the whole $.04 on snaps.
