10 inch subs in a 382...........
Has anyone added subs to a 382 somewhere other than under the rear bench seat? Looking for another solution since I really need that storage space.

U can run free airs in there, loose very little storage and it sounds good. I would rather see it in a better stronger material then what they use but it does work.

I put a Marine Bazooka 10 inch sub in each side compartment. Sounds great!

Does it cause the storage compartment doors to rattle at all? Did you secure the tubes in there or just lay them in the bottom?

The doors dont rattle at all. I actually crack the doors a little at times if I want a little more sound. Nope, they fit in there snug and tight. I would bet though that if you go with a smaller size speaker they would need to be secured someway. Face the subs toward the back and your in for some great bass! Here is a pic.

Would a sub work way up front, mounted in the panel that closes off the v-berth in a 311? I'm not a stereo guru; just asking. It seems like you would be using the whole cabin area for resonance and you wouldn't give up any storage space under the back seat (my canvas cover goes there) or in the sides (anchors, bumpers, ...).

Look at the side storage compartment, at the end toward the stern there is a panel you can remove and expose a large dead space that would be next to and under the back seat. I wonder if you could fit something in there? Jeff |

I really need to open that up and see how much room is in there now since you mentioned it!!! |

An inverter will work great in there, not sure how to get subs in there though. |
