what would you consider a fair # too help move it ?
|
$115k to $125K

I have to agree, I bought a 2002 with Procharged 500's and all the options except genset last summer for 1/2 what your asking. Mine was an exceptional deal but still reflective of the market your working in. Upgrades in used boats don't bring alot of extra money. If you can get high book value (based on stock configuration) for your boat I believe that's all the money you can get out of it.
BTW: I haven't looked up book on your boat... |
NADA
1998, 500HPs, A/C, TV........ books at $103-$115K. IMO, $115K is the most you can expect for a 9-10 year old boat. Good Luck |
thanks for the help guys ill keep all this in mind and try and lower my price. anyone know any interested buyers? fresh water boat allways well maintained at a reasonable price ?
|
Put it on www.boattrader.com .There are way more buyers checking there than on OSO classifieds. As much as I love OSO,I realize that boattrader has more buyers and lookers. Not everybody knows of OSO,everybody knows Trader, just my 2 cents. And as has been stated 190K is way,way high.
|
about 100k too high.
|
so whats the best route ? cut my loses and sell low or change out some parts and sell the high perf stuff ? just not sure what too do . the package is so reliable and dialed in with no querks seems a shame too part it out .any thoughts.
|
Offer it for sale as is and/or with the option of stock power. (assuming you have the original hardware laying around) Built hardware costs a fortune to repair and a potential buyer is factoring these repair costs when buying used. A boat can have all stock hardware that is totally worn out yet for some reason that package is more appealing to the masses.
|
and BTW: used "hi-perf" stuff being sold sep is a little more appealing as it can be installed in whatever the buyer already has.....but I still won't buy used unless it's 1/2 of buying that item new.

94.......:D
These motors were just pulled down and rebuilt with out blowers. Here is the last run this past summer. (also a 382 with XR's) |
Charlie, sounds like you have a nice 382,good luck with the sale.
|
thats fast for a big boat, 90 + is fast in general .thanks for the compliment on the boat. i like it just cant afford it myself.if i still have it this summer ill have too meet up with a few of you guys and cruise somewhere.
|
Charlie, Very nice boat...but $190k...you have better odds on the lottery. try somewhere around $100k and it will sell.
KL |
im gonna look into some possible partial trades and lowering the price thanks for all the help.
|
I would only pay $80K for 500's - maybe $90K for 575's. I'm in the market for one with 500's as soon as the Real Estate market improves!

Hi, Mark. An offer to buy when the real estate market improves is not an offer. Not sure what the point of your post is. This appears to be a nice boat that could be bought at a reasonable price by a serious buyer from a serious seller. If you are ready to buy, make the guy a serious offer,if not,let it go.Respectfully.Robert:drink:

I was thinking the same thing myself. Just couldn't think of a nice way to say it. I'm sure he will feel differently some day if he ever tries to sell something he has a lot of time and money invested in. Sounded like a tire-kicker to me!:D |
thanks for the support guys , i hope i do find a serious buyer if anyone knows some one looking too upgrade let me know .also id take a trade of another boat if i had too .
|
Didn't mean to offend anyone
I was not making an offer to buy the boat - just giving my .02 cents. I know exactly what it means to put time and big money into something - and try and sell it. What people ask and what someone is willing to pay can be very different. I'm sure you will find a buyer for your boat charlie111, and did not mean to offend you. :D |
no offense taken thanks man
