233 or 242 ?
I have had a couple 233's and love the ride. Wondering on a 242. Anybody been on both? Differances?
|
I've had both. When I first got the 223, I went from a 21 foot Imperail piece of chit to the 223. It was like going from a Yugo to a Caddy. Then, when I got the 242, it was another magnitude above the 223.
The 223 uses a 22 degree hull, the 242 has a 24 degree hull. It really does make a big difference in ride. If you find a nice 242, get it. You will not be unhappy. |
I am talking about a 233 not a 223. The 233 is 24 degrees wondering how the 242 hull compares. Thanks,

I loved my 242 with twin small blocks. I only sold it because I needed a bigger boat to run in Tampa Bay and the Gulf, so I went to the 302. Now that I boat on the St John's River, the 242 would be perfect for me. We only took the 302 out one time last year.:(

Thanks cuda, what speeds were you doing with the twin 350,s? I had a 311 and loved that ride also, even though the 242 is much smaller, how does she handle big water? Also, my buddy is interested in your 302. Any more pics or info on her?

The boat was an 85, but it had twin 1999 FWC 350 mags in it.
