New 382 Dash

Check out my new dash. :D

And, many thanks to everyone here for the ideas and help, and the dash panel Red Dog. :drink:

Notice the optimistic new GPS Speedo. I'm ready for some engine upgrades now.

I have to buy a couple of screws to finish the speedo recall install.

I also have to figure out how to mount the GPS antenna. Maybe where the Garmin antenna is now. May have to pull a motor to get to it.

Have a before pic, and a couple of after pics.

One more pic.

The bend in the dash required a plate to raise the GPS which makes it set higher than I wanted, but overall, I'm pretty jazzed about the way it turned out.

I didn't have to modify the gauge harness very much at all. The tach's are farther apart, so I had to modify the harness buy one of the tach's. The new speedo needed some wiring too, but it was all straight forward.

I got incredibly lucky on the paint which is almost an identical match to the panels that are already there. I used Dupli-Color ET0335 T336 Peral White. I would just paint the whole thing white,, but I didn't want to re-paint all the other panels.

Thanks for the tip on the rubber gasket at McMaster Carr. Can't remember who told me about it. They also have all the good water proof connectors too and everything else.

I think I need someone to airbrush something cool onto the GPS cover to break it up a little.

Looks good, Garrett.

anybody know what these buttons are for? I have pre-lubers, and HAD Prochargers, could they be some sort of circuit breaker??? Look at the 2 buttons under the ignition switches.

Looks cool! I can't read all the gauges. What all do you have on there?

Russ,

Could they have been wired as starter buttons? (i.e. turn key on, push start)

Tach's and GPS speedo on top with the volt and fuel guages nested in between. (These smaller 2 were boost guages when Prochargers were installed but I moved things around) the outer 2 large guages are fuel flow meters with total used, etc shown. The the 4 x 4 clusters bottom center are oil temp + pressure, water temp + pressure.

I've never even pushed the button to see what they do......I didn't know they were there until sometime after I bought the boat.

I asked Donnie, the last tech to work on the boat,he thinks they are the pre-lubers.

Thanks for checking Robert.
The 2 black buttons on the dash release the pressure in the pre-lubers (left side 1/2 way down).....once I make sure everything with the re-builds is in order I'll start pushing the buttons to see what it does. :D
