Default Need Help Taking Bezels off....Please..

Hey Guys I'm finally starting to do some things around the boat and need to know how to take the stock bezels off the gauges.I have a friend who owns a body shop,so instead of buying new gauge bezels,we are going to sand the stock ones completly smooth and paint the candy red, what do you do guys think? Also what do you like about painting the rear vents, you think Red or White???Here are a couple pics....

I think it could look cool for the dash. I would leave the vents for two reasons. One is they will likely chip being in that area were people board the boat and what not. I also think that since they are surrounded in black that they should stay that way.

Ya know I was thinking that too, since it has that black strip in the rear,it might stick out like a sore thumb,I hope the dash looks good,I just don't have the money right know for new bezels and stuff....I'll let you guys know how it comes out...

I'm purty sure those bezels are part of the gauge and not removable. You could take the whole thing out, tape the face of the gauges, and then shoot the bezels.

I pantied my vents white last year with krylon fusion no problems so far. Im not sure about the white on your 89 but my 86 357 is an off white so they dont quite blend . But Im going to try thr Krylon dover white it looks like it should be a real good mach. If anyone wants to know how it matches up I will post after I pant them again.

The bezels come off, twist one way or the other and they will pop apart. I painted my vents with Krylon white and I think they look very nice. I'll try to get pics this week if it quits raining.
