382 water tank

Filled up the tank with water and it majically disappeared:eek: Not sure where it went or where I should start to look. I filled the tank twice again and it did the same thing. Boat was in the water so if it was pumped out through the bilge it was hard to tell. (I'm sure it was) Any ideas where to begin looking for leaks?

The water fittings are the push-in type, and can leak if they get disturbed too much. Have you checked around the pump and filter under the small lift-out on the port side of the v-berth, next to the storage pit? If it's wet in there, you have your answer.

I've been reading too many Gino threads! On a good note, the boat ran great for almost 200 miles! Even the generator ran great. Truck ran great! Wife was great! Kid was great! Oh yeah, I am having an issue with the electric tongue jack. Short laundry list and hopefully I can get it all figured out. :drink: (With some expert advice)

I did check there and it was dry. Didn't make it to the transom shower connection. Looked at the toilet and I couldn't find anything on the floor or around the toilet.

Was the water pump on?

dukenrock 05-09-2007 01:12 PM

I could hear and feel the pump running under the V birth compartment. I think the problem may be a fitting that came loose somewhere. I'm going to check under the sink as soon as I can get back in the boat.

Ah! If the pump was running, then your tank is probably OK (good news...). I would strongly suspect one of the fittings back by the transom shower. It takes a bit of standing-on-your-head to see them.
