382 prop ??

I have 15.25 X 29's Labs on my 05, 525's Gen air. I think I'm a little steep. I'm seeing 76 @ 4700 wot. What should I step down to to see 5300 rpm. I'm a little slow coming out of the hole. Thanks

Are you running 4 or 5 blades?

29's??? Hydromotives?? I would look for 28 4 blade Bravos.

The lack of slip on a 5 blade causes good cruise speeds, but I'm concerned it also causes the drivetrain to snap when the prop won't slip.
BTW: Formula loves the 5 blade maximas on their new 382's.

Hydro or mercury two completely different animals.
Example 26 hydro = to 28 bravo.

Mine came with 26" 5 Blade Hydromotives. It gets out of the whole nicely but at 5300 RPM I'm lucky to see 74MPH with 3 people and full tank.

Probably some Merc 5 blade 27's then. Should put you in the ball park.
