Pretty color combo though...... |
Nice looking boat!!
Hard to pick on drives and tabs that are that old. A little TLC and some paint................ deluxe!! I'd be more concerned with the sled under the boat than some drives and tabs that need paint. What kinda coin is the seller looking for? |
Just took another look..... appears a shark fin is busted off the port drive.

Its not for sale. And thats a temporary trailer. The interior and dashboards are all redone.

Agree - that trailer looks suspect. For the weight of a 302 I'd want a triple axle anyway.

Ran it today. Was doing 70 at 4000 and 85 and 4400. never hit wide open. But the rooster tail is coooollllll.:D

No need for a tripple under a 302. They only weigh 7500 pounds. Easy to have a trailer work with a twin axel. Plus if you live around places that have tolls it is cheaper :D:D

What year is it? Can something be welded to the busted drive? The housing cannot be found easily. The innards are readily available. I'd loose that teak swim platform too. If mine didn't alreay have a swimplatform on it, I wouldn't put one on.

The advantages of a tripple is that you can run smaller tires, bearings, brakes and so on = cheaper parts but you need to buy more of them. The disadvantages is that you have to pay for that extra axle at tolls, they don't turn as well as a dual axel. My dual axel is sized so that if I blow out a tire/bearing I can run on just that one axel. |

Lets see some picks of the dash and interior. I'm redoing my 1984 302 and could use some pointers.
Thanks, Builder Bob |

I'll take the swim platform if he's taking it off! Around here, you just have to have one!

Most axles are rated at 3500 pounds. Twin axles will support 7000. At 7500, the normal axles are already overloaded, and that's not counting fuel, junk, and the weight of the trailer itself.
Plenty 'O support! |
