Nice package! Which engines do you go with in the 370SS?

welcome to the clan!!

Nice looking package!

Congradulations! Very nice. How is this to trailer?

Magic34 05-24-2007 02:14 PM

Thanks...

It has 496 HO motors, almost every option including satellite TV and 3 LCD TVs.

I trailer it everywhere and it isn't too horrible to tow. The biggest issue is the height. I am right at 14' on the trailer and 13' 6" is legal.

The width isn't too bad at all. Most of it is higher up on the boat, so your average car doesn't really come close. It is a little stressful with big trucks, but overall it isn't too difficult.

The 3500 handles it well and the brakes on the trailer help stop the boat very quickly if need be.

My brother has a 400SS he trailers as well, and that is the reason I went with the 37 over the 40. His 40 is a pain to trailer.

I came out of high performance boats to this one. So far, I love the thing.

EDIT: I did hve it up to 55 MPH on Sunday here at a lake outside of Phoenix.

Thanks everyone, we love it. Coming from a 95 MPH boat I was a little worried I would miss the speed, but on the first trip out, cruising at 40 felt great.

Chriswithaboat 05-26-2007 01:44 PM

Congrats! Nice boat!

bobd 05-26-2007 02:26 PM

Very nice. I made the step to a 400ss with the same color and 525's this year. I came from a 106 mph boat so doing low 60's is alittle different but the amenities make up for it

Nice and welcome to the fam

This may sound lame, but does anyone have any suggestions for a BBQ?

I went and looked at the Magna today, 3 different styles, and then thought that a small Weber Baby Q would be the ticket because I wouldn't have to install any hardware.

Can anyone help shoot in in a direction because I am torn on this one.

Thanks!

I have a Magna that clamps on to the railing. Dependable BBQ. My buddy has one on his Sundancer (32) that inserts into to "female" receptacles in the aft section.

Nice ride! How many sleepless nights after the go fast left, until you liked the cruiser?

Stops real well, eh? No extra tie down on the bow:D :D

Congrats, welcome to the Formula family!

I worked this Formula deal for about 9 months. After about 6 months, I finally put a contract on it. Luckily, I found it in September, and that was the end of the season, so nobody was buying until it warmed up. I put it on contract in Feb.

I found this boat, then had to sell my current boat which took about 60 days. So in reality, I sold my boat to specifically get this boat.

Thanks everyone. I have it all squared away on the BBQ. I am getting the Stow and Go Grill from Force 10. It is 145 Sq. In of cooking space. However, the mount is the best part. The base of it only requires a very samll hole for the release button. Less than 1/2 inch hole overall. The grill attaches to the pole with 4 wing nuts and the base is also very low profile. So I am going to install this on the extended swim platform in the corner of the starboard side. It will be out of the way and easy to take down.

Thanks again.

Here is a picture of the mount.

The bow got 2 15k ties downs on it 2 days after that picture was taken. Only trailered it 2 miles without them. :)
