WANTED: Used Formula 353 Fastech
 

I am looking for a used Formula 353 Fastech (1998-2002). Preferably, with 500EFIs. I may consider 500HPs also. I do not want the 502s or 496s. I have been there, done that.

I have already looked at the ones for sale on OSO, boat trader, yachtworld, and about every other boat selling website.

Let me know if any of you are considering selling your 353s.

There is a really clean one for sale right on Route 2 in Edgewater Maryland at the South River Bridge, sorry but for the life of me I cant remember the name of the brokerage firm??? Clean looking graphics sitting on an aluminum trailer...
If nobody chimes in I can take some pictures or get the name of the Brokerage Firm on the way home from work tomorrow...

I know it's got 500's and the "electrode" paint scheme........I wanted that boat bad when he first bought it!!!!

I have for sale a 2000 Formula 353 Fastech one owner Extremly clean and well maintained lift kept boat. Only 219 hours on a pair of Mercruiser 500 EFI engines with Bravo outdrives. Cockpit cover, refrigerator, sink, CD player, stainless steel props, power foot rests, stereo remote at helm. Let me know if this interest you. I also have a 1999 353 with a pair of 502's just serviced.

Proboat, please send me more information on the 2000. Specifically, some pics if you can.

Nice looking boat, but I am looking for one with 500 EFIs. Also, it is a little pricy for me. Thanks for the info though and keep me in mind if you come across any others.

There are two in the OSO classifieds worth looking at , both '02s, both at 129k, BigDaddy96s is the one with boxes and electrode graphics, the other nice one is the '02 out of Mesa, both freshwater, both 500 efis

Is this boat a 353 with 700 `s -

probably a 382

Twin 500 efi's, full hydraulic external steering, XZ drives. shore power w/ 50 amp battery charger, vacu flush head w/ macerator, fridge, 1000w stereo system with (4) 8" Bazooka mids & hi's & (2) 10" Bazooka subs. I spent 3k installing a Mermaid M5 Air conditioner in 2/06. Boat has a full cover (including sides). Also includes bimini top with full camper enclosure (never used). McLeod electric bolsters & foot rests. Cabin is white ultra-leather with gray carpet and accents. Trailer is a 2005 anodized triple axle Rocket.

Jsut curious, Why no 496's ? The reason I ask is I have a friend looking at one with them. Is it just the top end or? I appreciate your advice... I have a Formula 40 PC so do not know all the top end stuff... Soon to change though I need the speed back. Dennis

Check out Shogren Performance Marine here on OSO, A Fountain dealer, but they have a nice looking 353 on their site as well as a 382. Both seem to be priced well. They have a super reputation amoung the Fountain family, buyers speak well of them.

Came across the Formula 353 and it looks clean, thought it might be of interest here.

Rag you are one of the few that crosses from the fountain forum and offers any help you can to the formula guys thats in it's self is cool plus I assume you are friends with some here and boat with them as well. You pointed out a great deal on that boat I hope someone will take advantage of it! Powbotr has an attractive deal also.Now sell my F1 over there I'll give you the commission:D :drink: It runs 84 without trying.And I know there is at least 3 mph in it so for the self proclaimed fastest F1's it has legs.:evilb:

that is a clean looking 353 at shogren, asking price of 104 leaves room to move. I believe we "tolerate" ragged jumping in on the Formula thread. Since MV dumped his fountain, Ragged has nothing but Formula friends...............:evilb:

I do have friends that run Formulas, and I've never held that against them. Everyone is entitled to a mistake now and then. :D I'm a very brand tolerant person.

Since MV parted with his Fountain I have been a little overwhelmed with being stuck at the top all by myself. I really miss having him to share the duties and responsibilities of "Total Domination On The Water" with. Rest assured that I will launch soon, and will be up to the task at hand. :cool:

BTW Reggie says to tell you that even a Formula will run better with all EIGHT blades. You need to count them before every outing. That's all your fingers, no thumbs. Unless you are the Senator, he needs to use his thumbs as well when counting. :D

Care to elaborate on this, because I'm a little confused? :eek:
