01 292: Anyone know of this boat?
http://www.ablboats.com/details.asp?ListingID=67801
Does anyone know of this boat in DE? Came across it last night. I think it might have to go and take a peak. |
Looks clean but thats a lot for an 01 Give Dave a call at Trenton Marine see what he has used he usually has one
|
Nice looking boat,,,but waaay strong on the money.
|
Agree with the others, he's way high on the $$.
|
Would 70K be a resonable price to ask?
|
I'd say more like 60K but I'm cheap like that. :D Unless you're just stuck on this one there are several '02s out there that are advertised in the 60s.
|
Thanks for the advice!
|
$89K.......I wouldn't even bothering calling about that one, they obviously don't want to sell it!
That boat should sell in the $60's unless someone just absolutely falls in love with THAT one. |
It has Latham steering which is nice I think. But the price is still way too high.

Don't all late model 292's come with Latham steering? I know mine has it from the factory. I think a 70 mph, 7000 lb. boat would be a sketchy ride without it....

Many 292 Fastechs out there do not have hydraulic steering. I think it came standard on the model with Scorpion engines. My 292 Fastech has a WPM Racing steering system and I am very happy with it, but that was fitted by a previous owner. If I were in the market for a 292 Fastech I would look for one with hydraulic steering and Captains call exhaust. |
I could be wrong, but i think 03 was the last year Formula offered hydraulic steering on the 292 as an option. I haven't seen it listed as an option on the 292 in the catelogs for the past few years.
|
I have an 03 292 for sale, if you're interested.

I am not sure what year you are referring to with "late model 292's" ?
Split Decision, are you saying it may be neither included nor available as an option? That would be a mistake by Formula IMO. |
The hydraulic steering is an option, not standard. It only comes with a tie bar, which is listed as a standard. Since I couldn't sell mine, I am having hydraulic steering put on right now, should be done soon. And it is still for sale.

LiveWire...Your the 292 in Lebanon I keep coming across. How many hours does she have on her and whats your asking price. I've looked at your boat numerous times. Where do you do your boating?

With the extra cost of the steering, I was thinking the asking price would be about 85,500.
I boat on the upper chesapeake. I think that it has less than 200hrs. I opted for IMCO's steering package, as it seemed to be more afordable than most. |
