Couple of questions about Formula parts?

I will have my first Formula (88 242 LS) in my hands in two weeks. Surveyor says all the dash switches are sticky or function intermittently or non functioning. Can they disassembled and cleaned up or is replacement the way to go? If replacement is the ticket, is OEM necessary or after market? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Those switches are know for that and need replaced not fixed, if you only need to replace a couple here is what I replaced one with. If you are going to replace all of them use what you want. You don't have to replace the whole panel. You can drill out the small hole on the connector and use the factory screw on connection

I appreciate the info what about rocker switches for trim tabs?

If you pull the switches out there should be a part number printed or etched on them. Do an online search for that part number.
All switches are commercial off the shelf parts . Not specially made for Formula....except for any Mercury controls.
