For better or worse vacu flush is gone.
 

Blew both impellers over the weekend. And of course waste tank was mounted right in front of engines on the 353. So after staring down and trying to figure out how to reach pumps I asked wife her how important system was to her. She said a porta-p. would be fine. So I pulled out and am pleased with decision. Access much better to work on engine, clean bildge, etc.
We mostly day boat and have overnighted maybe only a half dozen times this summer so far.
As big of a pain as it is getting to impellers I feel better after every project as I get to know my boat better.

That is crazy.....you might as well flush $3060 cash down your house toilet. Just don't run your engines without water and you won't have to replace impellars! :rolleyes:

Actually I tried running the engines without water and that did'nt really go to good!

We've never used the potty in our 311. It took the wife a while to get used to peeing in a jar but she's okay now. :D

Come on now guys, I bought her a deluxe SeaLand Sanipottie. It actually has a 1 1/2 fitting on tank, so if I choose I can plumb it into exhisting pump out hose going to rear deck. So we are "good to go"!

Mistake to dismantle the vacu flush and to change impellors sucks anyway and I can still do it with the tank there for the money you take from the value of the boat you could pay to have pumps done for five years and that is if you did them every year. Don't discard it cause you will need to put that back for resale. Only six weekends on the boat? thats more than we did in in 4 years actually never did any but the girls still need the head.
