Prop Question

Hey Guys I Am New To Oso And The Formula Form My Question Is I Have A 1992 242 L/s With A 502 When Running With 5 People Onboard Takes A Long Time To Come Out Of The Hole And Get On Plane I Am Running A 23p S/s Should I Go To A 24p Or 26p To Help Or Will I Lose A Little Top End

You have the right idea, but your going the wrong way with the pitch. Better hole shot-----less top end. But to acheive that you need to DROP the pitch, not go up.

Yeah, go down in pitch....not up.
And watch your max rpm at WOT. Do not exceed recomended operating RPM.

Rule of thumb...
For evey inch of pitch decrease RPM goes up about 100 rpm.
Just the opposite when increasing pitch.

tell us what your wide open rpm is after you get on plane and we can steer you to the right pitch.
23 is about appropriate
if you wnt from a small runabout to this boat, expect more time to get on plane as these types of boats are pitched to go fast and not pull tubes or skiier quickly out of the water....

I commented in your other post as well

I`m running a 22pitch labbed four blade on my 242LS with the 454. It does a great job,but when you start to add more people use your tabs it will help.
