336 SR ... Opinions on this boat???

I'm looking for a high performance boat in the 32-34 foot range and have run across some 336 SR's. There doesnt seem to be too many of them for sale...Anyone know anything about them?????

Spend a few minutes in a 336 and you will want one. Kind of like a 311 with a molded platform. Sweet boats.

Been in 1 ...real nice boat....kind of rare. I was told that they were built during poor sales years, not alot built, therefore not alot of used ones around.

336 is a nice boat - a friend had one and I liked it. As Magicfloat said they are like 311 with a built in platform after Formula discontinued the 311. For whatever reason though they seem to sell for about twice what a 311 goes for.

If you are looking for a high performance 32-34 footer don't forget 311's as they are really 33'6" with the platform - probably where Formula came up with the 336 # from.

I'd give my left nut for this boat. Let me know if you ever need a left nut "tweakinit."

Great Boat. Very well built. A wave crusher.
I had a 1994 with factory HP 525SCīs.
That was good for 80+ mph on fresh water.

Centerfield,

I have a 336 for sale near me. It is either a 92 or 95. It is being sold by a local dealer for a friend who he said is selling it because of upcoming medical expenses. Anyway, he told me, and I quote, "I will sell it for 39,900. Not a cent less. It is a 65,000 boat any day of the week."

I will say that the boat looked to be in excellent condition. If you are interested let me know and I'll look at it again and take some pictures for you. The boat is in Portland, CT.
