thoughts on this 2000 353 Fastec
 

stopped looking at pictures and add in general when I saw DPX duo prop. Probably what you wanted or knew you would hear from us... did'nt you?

a 353...your kidding right? :D I like Volvo products but only if you intend to keep them stock. Their drives are better built than Merc's too but finding service/parts has got to be more difficult than Merc.

BTW: I like the paint too.

actually there parts extremely readily available, and other then resale thats a better handling, running and more reliable package then a merc 500hp/bravo pkg. have a guy local to me that had a 33 Scarab AVS totalled and replaced it with the same 33 AVS only powered with a volvo 500 DPX pkg and cant believe how much better handling and user friendly it is

and from the research i've done that volvo 500 is almost a clone of the Merc PLUS closed cooling...just trying to get an idea on the RIGHT price for the boat in my peers opinions

From photos boat looks clean, but would certainly inspect in person. VHF mounted in odd spot. Have not heard negative mechanicals on volvo's, only most not familar with them. Believe Sea Spray has volvo package.
I'd insult them at 70k and see where it leads. In my opinion 85k w/ mercs would be a fine deal. Would discount unknown volvo factor 10k.

if this one was a little rough I still don't think less than 70 would buy it.

Anybody that knows how fast it is with the Volvo's and the DPX drives ?
