i dropped the pad off at the upholstery shop yesterday afternoon. wow what a pain in the ass to pick out a color. the color that i thought matched the best was either too dull or too grainy! finally i settled for something that is real close. i'll post some pics of the pad removed from the fiberglass lower piece. does anybody know where to get stainless steel t nuts for the front and back of the pad "assembly" to attach to the fiberglass lower. when i seperated the two the factory t nuts weren't s.s. and were completely rusted away. i'll post pics. they left some ugly rust stains near the hinges. i'll be replacing my mirrored plexi with diamond tread plate. i decided to do this because my manifolds for the trs set up rise so close to the hatch that they discolored the plexi a little bit. i think tread plate will give it a unique look. Does anybody have any recommendation on how to cut the tread plate. thanks
