a friend of mine had a 86 357, he put a set of 572's in built by herb stottler of florida. the were roughly 700 and change horsepower. he saw mid eighty's. outdrives were kaamas though. that was a beautiful boat other than the fact it was so heavy.

if this ad is at all accurate, this fella may have some first hand insight as to what to expect with big inches, it says original owner,

thanks for the help I am still running the stock TRS drives and have been told they should handle up to 700 HP. surface drives would have been nice. :evilb:

I have an 86 357. I bought the boat with bravos. We put 468s with B&M 250s. We did not dyno it but a similar set up in a friend's boat made roughly 650 Hp. I have seen 80 mph on gps but it will run 70 all day long.

Who's doing your engine work, I got a few problems myself.

amazing1 01-25-2008 08:05 PM

riht now I have a guy in nashua building my new motors my buddy I boat with has had numerous motors built buy him for marine, truck pulling and wheeling. builds a good motor but a little independant. what are you looking to have done?:evilb::ernaehrung004:

DMAX 01-25-2008 08:22 PM

There's a few issues. I got valve problems on one motor, so I figure its good practice to have all four heads inspected. A couple of oil leaks. and a wireing harness needs replacement. Isent you a P.M.
