Looking for a 353 Fastech 525's

I'm back. I started the thread about the Nordic vs. the 353 and although I'm still a little "on the fence", I feel like the Formula is probably the way to go (warranty, pricing, finance options etc.) My problem is, I can't find one I really like (colors). Magicfloat has some really nice boats, but I'm just not crazy about the paint on either of them. If anyone knows of a dealer that has an '06 or '07 353 (new) with 525's, please let me know. The ones with lightning bolts down the side are my favorite. Thanks!

Any dealer could order you one and probably have it to you by memorial day.

I'm a fan of the flames as well.

Magicfloat 02-16-2008 01:02 PM

Have you seen all 3 of mine,or just 2?

Lake Rat 02-16-2008 03:12 PM

I work at Hilltop, we have a used '06 353 w/ 525's that has the "High Voltage" paint. It's spotless. Only 70hrs.

Magicfloat,

No, only 2. Is the other on your website?

Lake Rat,

I've talked to Derrick a few times. I was going to buy a 32SS Sunsation, but the cockpit is just too small. As for the 353 Formula you all have, I like the colors OK....the problem is that the boat is priced 25-30K more than a new one.

Magicfloat 02-16-2008 07:31 PM

All 3 are on my website, www.nelems.com have a new 06,a new o7, and a new 08,the photo shoot brochure boat

How'd you get in on a thread about boats with blue motors? I think they're talking 496 black motors over on the Chaparal thread. :evilb:

$220K for a 08 353 w/ 525's seems pretty aggressive. Not going to say it can't happen, but your going to have to find the right dealer.

TCBoss302,
We have to start somwhere, we know that's not where we're gonna end up. We've got to give ourselves some room for you to beat us up.:D

Duke,

I was responding to Lake Rat......the boat he was talking about is an '06 with 525's (70 hours) for like 240K. If you read Magicfloats thread, he has 2 brand new 353, one '06 and one '07 both with 525's for 20-25K less.

I agree, 250K for an 06, is pretty high. But then again, asking price and what you buy it for are two completely different things. :D

Lake Rat 02-18-2008 08:16 AM

Boss,
I don't want to step on Derrick's toes so I'll stay out of the pricing, but, give him a call. We won't let price stop you from owning it.

northernoffshore 02-19-2008 06:17 PM

jmakin 1998 353 looks better in person, has really low hours and is only 66500.

yea, good folks over there. :)

we spend alot of time talking about the freedom from replacing expensive leaky headers every three years and how with reasonable use our valvetrains will go 1000 hours.

black motors suck. :p

I love that Gold Bayport paint on Robert's '07 though!

No bolts and no trendy flames. Timeless colors and the layout plays really well on the 353.

Magicfloat 02-19-2008 08:01 PM

OK,guys,I have caught Rippem in a very rare mistake. :pMy 07 is not Bayport,it is Montego. I think I caught him in a mistake a couple of years ago,but this is the first one for 2008:D But regardless, thanks for the compliment,it is a pretty boat, and the price will surprise many of you. Robert

yes, I was wrong! :party-smiley-004:
Montego!

similar but red is primary where blue was the primary in Bayport.

The red/blue combos truly have timeless appeal to a wider audience IMHO.

Me, I like the '08 Stealth boat, in 30 years that will still be a stylish ride.

Stealthy / secret, covert, clandestine / I like it. :D I think I may be ahead of the curve, and it works so well with the blue motors and those polished SS pipes.

Lots of black at the show this past week, just about every display had a boat displayed with black hullsides or accents.

Boomer 880 02-20-2008 07:03 AM

Just step up to Robert's 382 with the 600s and be done with it:) You will save big $$ when you want the extra 3 feet:p
