We have the ability to get tossed around pretty good at our slip on Ontario, Actually almost wore through a forward line over the period of a couple weeks where we had a lot of T-storms. Learned the trick of wrapping old rubber hose at the rub points, (blowboaters do provide some value) We also use bigazz orange defender Bouys .

I don't see the need for 5/8 line, my boat is not going to stay in a slip in a storm nor am I going to raft up in a strong wind . We mostly use the 3/8 line the 1/2 line is just in case we are at a marina and a storm comes up.
Yeah....but what if a raft up happens that you really didn't plan for? :D :D |

We carry lots of lines on board. Would go w/ 5/8".
Our main lines are red & blue. The red's are 15', blues 20 or 25' (been a long winter). Anyhow easy to grab appropraite length. |
Thanks Everyone!!! I think I am going to stick with the 5/8", 2-15', 2-25', 1-35' should be a good start.
