Nice boat...............but from that pic......it looks like you would have NO tounge weight at all. My trailer used to be like that till the fixed it.......very dangerous.................

Yep. Cool (and rare?) paint scheme. Like Nort said - you need about 10% of the total trailer/boat weight on the hitch or it will get squirrelly at the worst possible time...
Congrats on the deal! |
Woo Hoo!!!
Let us know how the trailer tow home went. |

Sleek, Very nice looking toy, good luck with her. :ernaehrung004:
It looks like you need to adust the front stop more forward to get the back of the boat completley on the bunks. Having to much hangover for periods of time can cause a hook on the bottom of the hull. |
Thanks for the kind words and concerns. I was curious about the tongue weight as well because the boat extends past the bunks. The bunks do support the engine weight. I think it's primarily swim platform that is not supported. I looked at moving the bow stop forward but I won't be able to do it as the base is already touching the "I" beams where they converge. I will take it to a trailer shop to see if they can come up with a fix. As for the trip home, we were about 80 minutes east of Pensacola Fl when the starboard bunk split (the top 3" the whole length of the bunk). The boat settled low to starboard and 12-18" out to port. We limped it into Pensacola to have it replaced (both bunks) the next day. It cost me about a year off my life, 11 hours to repair, and $1400. Also had a deck hatch unlock, fly up and break the support arm and hinge while going over the lovely LA roads. After that, it was smooth sailing...er motoring. Looking forward to a wonderful summer on my dream boat. Hope to run into you fellow OSO members on the water. Sorry for the rant, I tried to keep it short.
