New 382 trailer
Posted it earlier but deleted it because I thought the deal fell thru, but it finally went thru. So now I have a brand new(30 miles) Prestige tri axle,16" wheels, spare, electric winch, electric tongue jack, frame mounted battery, oversize side rails, painted Fastec white.I don't need it,willing to dump it. Floor plan payoff is $8622,$190 freight,I have $8812 in it. Couple of members were interested but wanted to trade their 382 trailers in,but I really can't afford to do that, just need to pay this one off. How does $8000 sound? I'll post photos tomorrow, the boat is off of it and is shipping on a different trailer.

Dang, Robert! Killer deal. Almost makes me wish that I was in the market for one, but I'd want to go with aluminum. Then I'd have to buy the d@mn truck to haul it, though...
C'mon somebody - Take him up on a sweet, sweet deal. :drink: |
almost bought a 382 without trailer but seller backed off. If it comes back, or if I find another one, I'll contact for sure.

I would like to replace my trailer with that one, but what would I do with the old one?
The trailer that I have, I think you sold to Plumberscrack, but the trailer does not fit the boat well. I have several bunks that do not touch the boat, and some in the step area that do not fit at all. This causes too much weight on the front roller, which keeps bending the bolt. When I get a chance, I need to lift the boat with a crane, and shim up several bunks to get them to support the boat. How would this trailer fit a 2001 382? I will call you this week, I need a few things for the boat (fastech lettering, and seat switches) |
Mack,I am surprised that your Eagle trailer doesn't fit perfectly,it was built for Vic Spellberg's 04 382 poker run boat, which is identical to your hull.Eagle actulaly designed your trailer for easy unloading, and yes some of the bunks do not touch the hull, but as I recall,Eagle did that on purpose for the unloading factor. All 382 Fastechs have the same hull. I remember a memo from Eagle about this, but it was several years ago and I did not save it. Eagle has new owners, but they may have that memo in their old files. Maybe contact them, but I do not recall any issues with your trailer. Since it was built for Formula's Poker Run program, they would or should, have taken great pains to make this trailer perfect.

Robert,
Please post your e mail address. I took pics of the parts I need for the 382. The prob with the trailer is that the front two bunks do not touch the boat at all, and all of the forward weight is put on the roller. I changed out the roller last weekend, due to it being bent, and I bent the new one loading it just after changing it. I think that if I shim up the two forward bunks, less weight will be placed on the roller. I am not sure if this will affect unloading. Maybe this is how the trailer is supposed to fit, I am not sure, I have never seen another on the trailer. I will email you pics of the parts I need, or if you want, I can post on here. Wes |
Robert....I'd delete your last post once he emails you......no need in chancing spammers getting your email address.
