1990 311 Windshield -

I've got a friend looking for a windshield for a 1990 311. All he really needs is both of the front curved glass sections.

Anybody have some laying around.......

My first thought is good luck. However, there are a few guys on here who have replaced the windshields with fairings so maybe there are a few available. Do a little search on fairings, find out who those guys are and drop them a line.

I do know that if you tried to get the glass new, it would be scary expensive - if not impossible to obtain.

I may know of one, pretty sure the curved sections are the same anyone know for sure? this is off a 242, not sure if he still has it or not

Ditto on George. He has lots of older Formula windshields in stock.

Who's this guy and why would he have old Formula glass in stock? Cool that we have a source, just wondering what the deal is.

Probably someone who had the foresight to buy out all remaining stock when a company stops actively producing a certain product at a very discounted price and then sells it at market price later. Don't get grey hair worrying about little stuff like this and call the guy. If Robert recommends him, he is legit ...

Not worried about legit or not, just seemed odd. But, you're probably right, just bought up what was available.

Is it "old stock", or parts for older Formulas "in stock"? Could you imagine warehousing old boat glass for 20 years? :D Not that it couldn't happen, but of all the things to have to look out for, glass wouldn't be at the top of my list. Hope it works out though!

He bought all the old stuff. He has Formula's blessing,so to speak.Daryl,Kerry.and Ryan will recommend him if you ask them.Last year,he sold me a w/s for an older 29PC when no one else had them, and the price was reasonable.RedDog has it right,he had the foresight.Call him.
