Yes,actually that was what closed the deal,but I could not post that here because my contact at Merc wanted me to keep it quiet until it was official.Now it is official.Story I got was the original testing was done with 91 and that's how it was released. Recent tests determined it is OK on 87,and my buyer has access to 89.No changes were made to the engines or the ECMs,just a change in specs. If I had not gotten early access to this info I would have lost the sale.

Sorry for the unfortunate news. My wife and I are thinking about Smith Mountain Lake next 4th of July (2009). I have cousins who live on the lake and been inviting us for years. We're well over-due for a east coast trip.

do you thing the ECM retards timing some for the lower octane?

in other words. is more horsepower available at 91 octane than at 87 ( real world testing)
