Well, I got them to work and here they are. Still had to drill new holes, but no big deal. The backing plates cover nicely and you can never tell there are extra holes back there!!!! Sory for the poor pic quality, it was my phone, but non the less, a HUGE improvement if I do say so myself!!:drink:

Thats definatly a vast improvement over the stock handles. Looks great, Bill. :Score-101010:

Where in "chicagoland" are ya from and where do ya boat?? I have already talked to Frmultr about this, but myseld and my wife and friends of ours from Detroit will be staying at Reefpoint in Racine, WI over the 4th weekend and we plan on heading down to Northpoint for some food anbd beverages if the lake permits. Also, we will be partying at our slips in Racine for the 4th fireworks. And as the saying goes...More the merrier!!

Thanks for thinking of me Bill. My wife and I reside in Naperville. We do most of our boating down state Illinois. Clinton Lake, Lake Shelbyville, Illinois River are some of our favorites. Don't care for the "Chain" too much nor Lake Michigan.

Our 4th of July plans have been made, but it does not mean things can change between now and then. Just 'cause we can't committ to Reefpoint for the 4th of July weekend, we can always plan another weekend. My wife and I met a wonderful couple about a year ago who live in Racine and purchased a new leftover '05 292 from Bald Knob. They too have asked us to join them at Reefpoint this summer. I will keep you posted on the details. Great job on the handles!

Also...if/when I meet up with ya'll, do not make fun of the all white boat!!!! I did it on purpose!!! Plus, i would love to see other Formulas...I currently have the only one on the river where I boat within 150 miles... I was the first with my Fountain in 05, now there are 6 others...i hope I stay on the rare side of Formulas..I do not like having a bunch of other boats like mine around...

I can relate. As of May 16, 2008 my wife and I are the ONLY individuals with a 292 that has Hot Rod Graphics. Very rare boat in deed just like your all white 292. Formula told me that this was their third Hot Rod Graphics applied to any FasTech they have produced. The first was on Vic Spellberg's Poker Run Special 382 and the second was on Bald Knob's 353.

Very excited about delivery on June 14th. We'll meet up hopefully this summer and BS over a weekend.

When I bought my 292 Blaze at the boat show I was told they were only making two 292s in that graphic, one for the LA boat show and one in Chicago. So I traded in the 292 I had just bought in the Fall, and I bought the Blaze graphic one. 2 months later I saw 2 other 292s in blaze at the dealership!!!

Yeah, that does in deed BLOW! I told Bald Knob to express to individuals interested in the Hot Rod graphics that Formula ran out of Imron to paint that schematic. I thought Brigg told me that Bald Knob sold 4-Blaze 292's. I'm sure once my 292 gets the exposure the Hot Rod will be very popular.

For '09, Formula has a new Platinum graphic for their FasTechs named "Terminal Velocity."

Shameless,
Where did you buy those grab handles and what are the part numbers? They really look sharp and I'm thinking of making a swap!:drink:

Thanks Bill,

Can you get these for 4mulafastech?

here are the p/n's...

the handles are 275-50P--retail is 34.00 each.

the backing plate is 275-35P--retail is 18 each.

The P in the part number is for polished...any more questions, just let me know. Normally I buy everything from Diamond Performance, but I Had questions and this was trial and error, so I went with Eddie Marine directly, but now that I have the numbers, I suggest anyone order from Bill at diamond Performance!!

4mulafastech 07-11-2008 11:34 PM

Bill, thanks for the part numbers! Now you know I would have questions...:D Are they polished aluminum with a durable clearcoat? Did they come with hardware? I assume you had to drill holes between the existing and the plate covered the old?

They are anodized and after a LONG weekend in MI, there is not a mark on them. you will need to get hardware for them. I used one existing hole, the bottom one and drilled a new top hole. That is why I go the backing plates to cover a hole:D They are actually very comfortable handles too if someone were to use them.:D
