Default Formula 28SS or 31SS

Looks like the 28 is a "big 28" and the 31 is a 31 if that makes sense.

LOA 29' 6" vs 31' 0"
Maximum Beam 9' 2" vs 9' 6"
Approximate Weight 8,200 lbs vs 9,750 lbs
Cabin Headroom 5' 2" vs 5' 4"
Fuel Capacity 120 gal vs 130 gal
Water Capacity 20 gal vs 30 gal
Holding Tank Capacity (opt.) 26 gal vs 36 gal
Bridge Clearance 5' 8" vs 6' 0"
Bridge Clearance w/Arch 8' 6" vs 8' 8"
Draft 36" vs 37"
Deadrise 21° vs 22°

310 SS Twin Mercruiser 6.2 MX MPI driving Bravo III’s will cruise at 37 MPH with a top speed of 52 MPH

The 330SS with 496 Mag's gets up to 55MPH but not in the cards.

So- who knows what on these things and where are the deals to be had on them?

I recently bought with a 260 SS with a single 496 Mag out here in Vegas so I could trailer it and it would be easier on fuel. Works well for Lake Mead and surrouding lakes, but I would always go for the bigger boat if it is practical for you.

At the Ft. Lauderdale show, I heard that the 26 and 28 would be replaced with a 27. For what it's worth. All you gotta' do is listen.

Delivered both a new 260 & 280SS last weekend, and the 280 is a VERY fun boat...T-350 Mag/MPI's is all the power that hull needs. It accelerates and handles great. The 310 is a new design and has a nicer transom/platform area. Got 'em in the showroom if you'd like to look.

Yep, new 270SS will be at the dealer meeting in July. The 310SS is a much nicer boat than the 280SS and rides as good as the 330 at LOTO. We have sold and delivered everyone we can get within a couple of days after arrival at our marina I would NOT spend the money on 6.2`s the 350 mags make the boat plenty quick for most people....

I heard the 27 will be out in a month or so and a 29 following soon after. Was at the factory 6 weeks ago and they were working on the plugs. That will make the 27,29, 31 and 35 all available in the new design.

26 and 28 may both be short lived.....

When I was at the plant there weren't many 330's being built anymore - but there was a waiting line to start a 350. They were pumping the 260s out though.

Were they still working on the 45SS?

MMark,

Don't forget about the Passport Marine boats that are going have to be sold sometime. They had 4 dealerships in FL loaded with inventory and as soon as the banks sort out the mess there will be plenty of new or like new untitled boats that are 1 or 2 model years old.

Leftovers/ in a bad economy should = Huge Deals for the buyer
