Steering wheel upgrade help
 

I have a '92 303 SR-1 with the original wheel using a 7-hole mounting configuration. Can someone please tell me what is involved to change out to a newer style wheel utilizing 6-holes....? Is there an adapter available? Will the old wheel just pull right off once the 7-hex bolts are removed?

I am in Cheshire. Making an adapter shouldn't be a problem but check with the steering wheel mfg first to see if an adapter is available.

Good luck with this part. Even with a wheel puller and a BFH, I could never get the hub off my '89 311 ...

One thought on the adapter. If the bolt hole circles are not pretty far apart the heads of the bolts, and maybe the threads will overlap

Are you trying to take the hub off? I was thinking that you wanted to bolt the adapter to the hub and the new wheel to the adapter.

It would be easier to make an adapter if the hub were here.
