Help needed in Jacksonville FL !!!

Was wondering if there is anyone in the Jacksonville area that knows about a Formula 357 that is for sale. I'm in Baltimore and was hoping someone local might be able to check something out for me. PM me for cell number or email please.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure Mike (offthefront) will chime in when he reads this. He knows the one 357 that was for sale a while ago. Are you thinking of the recently advertised one that's about to be given away?

Michael,

How are things going. Did you hook up with the guy yet?

I saw this ad and was hoping someone could check it out.

1988 Formula 357

Which one are talking about Michael?

handfulz28 07-22-2008 10:42 AM

Saw your posting on SW. Like I said there, seems like they're giving that one away. But somebody has to see it in person to be sure. It's not the right colors for you though. :D

Played phone tag this weekend and supposedly he's gone for another couple weeks. I think I'm going to make the dreaded "call the wife" phone call and see what the deal is.

But I've got friends coming into town this weekend, so maybe I'll just have to take it out "one more time"... :evilb:

I could live with it. It is clean.

Go ahead, since its technically still yours, run it like you stole it. :evilb:

Hey Sam,

Having a difficult time this season with the 292 being sold last year. Got an itch that the vette is just not getting it done. If I could get the right boat and the right deal, I would go back to being a 2 boat owner, maybe I'm crazy.

As of this morning, the seller has not responded to 2 separate messeges. I'll send him another today and see what happens. At a minimum, the Hull ID is needed.

I know of a nice 357 local if you look at others

1989 357 SR1 For Sale

Treads,
I have a 357 for sale in Grand Island, NY (it is in the classieds here), check it out. The Florida boat does look clean, but mine is truly a freshwater boat, a year newer (no teak inside) and I think, nicer colors, with lots of updates. Price is negotiable, call me if you are interested....

Does anyone know who bought the red/gray 357? Looked like a super clean boat for a 1987. Ebay went from a 20k bid to 32k buy it now in one day...

Wasn't me I can tell you that. Spent quite a bit of effort trying to make that deal happen. Long story short, had setup an inspection with seller, agreed on price, and finalize the deal within 24 hours based upon the inspection.

Woke Friday morning to that, lowered BIN by $3k, and sold it out from under an agreed to deal. Story didn't completely make sense when I spoke to the seller. Oh well, guess it wasn't meant to be.

Treads ... I guess you talked to the seller? Something seemed not quite right with that deal ...And as I stated I never had seen that 357 .... m

Mike,

Spoke with him quite a bit in fact, which is why I'm somewhat surprised at the way it happened, considering the price was lowered just 30 minutes after I set up the arrangements. But I guess things happen for a reason.

Powerquest230, someone out of PA bought the boat. If that helps any.

There was a guy looking for a 'trunkey' 357 in the $30-$35k range from Pittsburgh on the Formula thread a few weeks ago. If Treads is right about it being a guy from PA, I bet it was him....

DoczDock 07-28-2008 03:23 PM

Sorry, that was 'turnkey' and the guys user name is 'tgrantz'

From speaking with him last week one night it's obvious he has done a lot of work and upgrading to his. Like I mentioned above, maybe things happen for a reason. Meeting with a potential buyer for the company, so who knows, could open up a whole new spectrum of what to look at. :ernaehrung004:

Wasn't me! I'm still looking though. Work has just been too busy. Haven't had time to go look at any more.

Docz - did you get my e-mail yesterday???

Also - does anybody know anything about the 357 that is in Chicago - it is the one listed on OSO classifieds? I'd like to go look at it I just haven't had the time.

Any input would be appreciated
