What is the cruise and top speed?

Also, what is the loaded weight on trailer?

I'm not really shopping till spring, but am narrowing down what I'll be looking at.:D

Thanks.

top gps is 64 @ 4650 rpms, and the cruise speed is really good with the 30 pitch props on it, I think it cruises 50 at 3500 rpm's i will have to look when i get back this weekend, boat is 8000lbs with no fuel, trailer im assuming is 1500 lbs im guessing its a 10,500lb load, i pull it with a 3/4 ton crew cab with a duramax, would not pull it with anything less than that. its a great boat, power seats & foot rests are nice, the Famous Site and Sound did the audio in it and it is all you want.

I'm truck shopping right now, and planning on a 2500 with the 6.0, but am looking at durmaxes if I go used.

When I'm seriously shopping next spring though I don't know if I could handle having a Sooner fans boat as a Mizzou guy.:party-smiley-004:

I used to have a 6.0 crew, and the gas mileage was 11 on its best day running down hill on the expressway, the duramax is worth every single penny, and then some, you will never go back to gas.

I had a 312 and towed it with a 2500 suburban with the 6.0 motor. It did fine but any more boat or less truck would have been a problem......We still have the truck but don't use it for towing anymore. It gets 12-13 with everyday driving and was around 10 towing.

Loved the boat but had to move up (382). As you noted, those 30's are too big for the engines based on WOT but they do provide good cruise speeds.. (boat normally runs 28's)

In the new body style though the gas milage is a little better with the 6 speed, and the diesel milage worse becaue the DPF.

It all comes down to what's the best deal I get so I have more boat budget come next spring.:drink:

I would rather have a used late model duramax, than a new 6.0, just my opinion, my mile per gallon on the read out on the dash says avg 18.6 right now, its fast as hell too.

Ditto....sort of. I bought a new Ford dually last year for a tow vehicle....put a whopping 2,900 miles on it the first year!!!!!

Yeah, but I really love the looks of the new ones.

I want black with some black wheels. It's gotta be the daily driver for a few years too, so I want it to be somewhat nice. Luckily my new job will be 16 miles a day round trip, so milage is not an issue for that.:drink:
