Boat shut off while driving??
Hey guys:
Saturday I was out on my boat and after about 30 minutes of driving around the lake all of a sudden it just shut off while driving about 40 mph. I lifted the hatch and there was a small amount of smoke coming for the exhaust headers. It would not crank over at all. I got towed in by the state police which is always embarrassing! Anyway the next morning I went out there and she started right up however the oil pressure was bouncing between 6-8 on the gauge. This seemed a little high but I honestly don't recall what it normally runs at when its cold. Any advice?? Maybe the ignition coil went? |
When you turned the key did the starter even click? If not, the kill switch may be acting up. I assume 6-8 is just a number on a gauge and not psi.
