We just finished the dash in a friends 1990 311. I remade most of the panels, and he painted everything - including the dash.

A couple more -

He also made the fairing for it - the windshield was broke during the ice storms a couple of years ago.

Very nice. I Like the nice clean look of the dash, and of course the fairing! Good looking boat.

H2oboy: Is your friend's 311 also in MO? I've had building a faring for my Formula on the todo list for a few years, but the compound curves are daunting. Anyway I could come check this out in person? thanks.

I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem with it. Do you have a windshield for yours?

Yes, but it is the squared windshild that pre-dates the 311. Oddly enough my 302 is the last year before the 311, and we discovered that the deck had already been changed on my boat in preperation for the rounded windshield. So, the square windshild was tabbed onto the rounded deck base, as were probably all the 84 and 85 302's. I've decided to follow the rounded base instead of a square windshield, or the faring would already be done.

You can reach me at my public e mail addy: mad mike the red at yahoo dot com (remove the spaces and use the symbols in the address). I check this one a couple three times a month, and will do more often for while. thanks.
