Temp Gauge
1 Attachment(s)
I am looking for a temp gauge for my 242. It seemed fine when I was winterizing yesterday until I started it up to get the engine warm again after changing the oil to run the antifreeze thru the engine. The gauge never moved, I checked the connections under the dash all seemed fine. After all these gauges are only 21 years old.
Any one have and extra laying around they would sell or is it time for new gauges. What is the best way to get the bezels off screwdriver? Thanks Mark |
you need to check the sender on your engine before you go changing gauges. should be a tan wire. Ground this out and see if your gauge moves. If it moves then replace the sender. If not you will need to do a bit more testing under the dash before proceeding. I do have a gauge if you end up needing it.

I put a new sender in this summer all was fine, started it up to warm the engine and it sat for and hour then started again gauge did not move.

masi,
I'll be changing out all the VDO's on my 93' 34PC this winter. You're more than welcome to one of the temp gauges. I think they mount the same way, twist and lock ring on the back. Let me know. |
Treads, thank you let me know when your done and we will make some deal.
thanks mark |
The square bezel comes off with a counterclockwise twist. If anyone needs one after Treads gets rid of his,I have a brand new one in stock also.

Thanks Magicfloat

The guages on the 34PC mount flush with the panel face, no square bezel. I believe they will still work with the bezel style. Is this correct? |
Yes,same gauge, the square bezel twists off.
