2009 formula brochures

I just received them!!!!

I'm always amazed each time I receive these Hi- quality model brochures, year after year. nice stuff! wish money was no concern!

Anyone else got them?

FRMULTR 10-16-2008 07:17 AM

I received them last week. I've got to believe that costs Formula a little bit of cash to send those out to all there customers. First class company for sure.

Car Biz 10-16-2008 08:08 AM

got mine last week as well. Love the new Caribbean Blue :drink:

I run a printing company....I have a pretty good idea what they cost.
.....but you have to market yourself. For a business, cutting out advertising to save money is kind of like un-plugging the clock to save time. :)

I'm happy to receive them. I just feel bad for them sending me those expensive brochures, and the fact that I don't see the day I could afford a brand new 382...

It is very smart marketing. You might win the lottery,or you might have a buddy with some money that saw the brochure you got.Formula is a class act,and they value their older boat owners just like the newer ones. But all of us here already knew that.:ernaehrung004:

Got mine a couple weeks ago. I agree that it is smart advertizing. Plus, all you have to do is go to their site on line and ask for one, doesn't matter who you are. They will send one to you within a couple weeks.

I received mine a week or so ago as well. What I find most humorous is that a few weeks before that I purchased a 2009 boat. I'm not sure who would be in the market for another boat only a few weeks later... not to mention I already had all the 2009 brochures.

Kinda liked this one in the 1999 brochure:

Splitdecision271 10-17-2008 08:08 AM

I received two. We are a two boat family, so both father and son, get their own. Yes, I still live at home, in my defense I'm only 24, bought my 292 when I was 23. I have also agreed to buy the house from my parents once they find their dream waterfront property, so I don't see the point in moving out only to move back in.

Saw the real thing(s) in the water at the Annapolis Boat Show yesterday. MAN! These boats are nice!!! I found the 45 Yacht strangely appealing......

Expensive Date 10-17-2008 03:38 PM

I requested one a few years ago before I bought my boat and they sent it next day air

Same here - they are just like a Snap On tool catalog. Great to look at, but can only afford to buy used. My next boat will be a Formula regardless if they sent me a brochure. The name speaks for itself.

I have been saving these brochures for years....thinking "some day, I'm going to own one of these boats"......ya know what, now I do!!! Formula probably knows alot of us drool over these boats before we can afford them, but eventually we CAN afford them and become buyers!!!! ...and with the level of customer service they provide, it will be hard to ever buy another brand.

You are so right about your last statement, I feel the same way and have really struggled with the decision to move away from Formula and that would only be because they just don't have a larger go-fast boat in their offerings. With that said I am really considering getting out of the go-fast and into the 40SS but not sure if that would be a large enough jump, I have also heard they are looking to build a larger SS model and that would be a good thing from my point of view.

I received my also, I read every detail on the 400SS, I would love to go buy a new one, they are so much like my boat but so many differences.... I showed my girl the brochure and she loves the new seat on the trunk and several other features... Great Company with a great product...

I got my brochures a couple weeks ago. I've only been a Formula owner since July of this year and my boat is 16-years old! Pretty cool that they send them to folks who buy used as well.

From what I hear this worked out yesterday....:eek: I was showing my neighbor my brochures two weeks ago and joking with him to step too the plate.....
The same neighbor was looking at mine and my friends 400SS all summer, he has a 27 Chapparrel, I was just out getting the paper this morning and caught wind from my other neighbor that he bought a neww 400SS at the Annapolis Show yesterday??? I hope its true, that would add another 400SS to raft up to next summer....:ernaehrung004::evilb:

When I was visiting the Formula factory last summer they said that was being considered for the near future.

Magicfloat might have more insight on this. What can you share with us Robert?

Boomer 880 10-20-2008 07:06 AM

A 45ss plug was being worked on when I was there about a year ago (kinda hard to hide). Others may have an ETA on this one.

selpel 10-20-2008 07:54 PM

The last thing I heard was we may see the prototype at dealer meeting next year and the boat early 2010............
