12 to 120 inverters
 

Installing a 19'' flat screen tv in my 271, what is Formula, or u guys using for the inverter. Possible wiring diagrams??
Was going to use a deep cycle batt; run a cable through an isolator, to the inverter from the alternator+. (with it's own shut off) Sounds too easy!??

I used a 1500 watt inverter from Harbor Freight ...powers My LCD/CD player combo,fans, lights ....you need to mount the converter as close the battery as you can and run 120V extension cable to the converter Plug ... I mounted the converter under the rear seat and then ran extension cords down both sides of the boat to I have 120 for the LCD (star) and 120v for the port side ....If you only intend to use it for the LCD you dont need 1500 watts I think the LCD pulls about 50-75watts .. Next there are "pure" Syne converter for electronic stuff but they are alot more money ....m
