Robert,

I am interested in trading my trailer in on another one. Or buying another outright. The trailer needs to be for a 382, and I would like it to have a drive guard like the one I have now.

If you have anything in mind, please let me know.

Wes

What's wrong with that one? It was nearly new when you got it.....and have you priced new ones????? You got a great deal, might be worth changing yours into whatever your looking for. (assuming your not looking for aluminum)

The previous owner had dunked it in saltwater, and the inside of the main channels is a little rusty. It drips rust colored water out after launch. There is also minor surface rust everywhere there is a hole or penetration in the frame(clearance lights.)

I sprayed it down with OSPHO rust neutralizer, but I have no way of getting it all the way inside the frame. I am going to rack the boat, and get the trailer into the shop, blast and repaint.

I just re worked all the brakes, bearings, and 8 new tires. I hate to get rid of it, but am not sure how to determine how bad it is corroded.

If I do buy another trailer, I will probably go with alum, Or I may repaint this one?

Not sure?

Wes,Russ is right, new trailers are expensive. That is a great trailer you have. Spend a few bucks to refurbish it and you will be way ahead $ wise, plus have a very nice trailer. There are industrial coating experts that should be able to stop that internal corrosion.
