312 trade-in

Just traded for a nice 2000 312 Fastech. Details at www.nelems.com if anyone is interested. We do take trades. Boat is currently in NY but I will be picking it up on the 12th.

What kinda trailer?? wish you were coming closer so I could buy you a drink for all the help you have giving me!

Magicfloat 01-02-2009 04:28 PM

It is a Venture galvanized tri axle 2005 model that I traded in last year under another boat. How close are you to Lindenhurst,NY? It will be at a marina there till the week of 1/12. Let's trade:ernaehrung004:

Nice boat!, why didn't formula put very much power into these boats?

They just build them the way they are ordered by the customer or dealer.

Magicfloat 01-05-2009 09:26 PM

Exactly. There are 454Mags and 502 Mags out there, but most were ordered with std 7.4's. The 312 will handle lots of power. We had a customer that built some killer procharged motors for his in 1998,I personally ran it at 98 GPS.Always liked the 312,but it kinda fell victim to the twin step hype, and it was a single step.Marketing hype can sometimes play funny tricks on great products:drink:

Splitdecision271 01-07-2009 12:36 PM

Any word on them bringing it back, since the 271 is taking a hiatus

Magicfloat 01-07-2009 01:46 PM

Won't happen.

88242LS 01-07-2009 03:26 PM

I still don't get the 271 thing, but the demise of it is on Formula in my opinion,

masi242 01-07-2009 06:24 PM

The 312 is a great looking boat at a nice price, 88 this should be in your driveway in the spring cut the deal with Magicfloat:drink:

Dam winter is to long

When I was looking, I saw a lot of 312's that were set up with 7.4's and Bennet tabs. Seemed like they were set-up to be a cheap(in terms of Formula) entry level twin engine. I don't think I ever saw 311 or 292 from the 80's or early 90's set-up this way without k-planes. At the time, it was very slim pickings to find one set up with 454 Mags or 502's with K-planes.

88242LS 01-14-2009 04:48 PM

did you sell it already? see its not on the site anymore

Magicfloat 01-14-2009 05:38 PM

No,there are few issues I didn't know about.I removed the ad untill I get it as perfect as I thought it was.Stay tuned,I am going to spend some money on the boat and put it back up at the same price when it is ready.

t500hps 01-14-2009 06:35 PM

sorry to hear about the issues.....you represented the condition of my boat perfectly when I bought it, I hope the buyer of this one appreciates your integrity like we do.

88242LS 01-14-2009 08:09 PM

ya sorry to hear alotta travel etc involved, g~luck

Magicfloat 01-14-2009 08:30 PM

No big deal,just a difference between what the owner considered a 9 on a scale of 10 and what I consider a 9.It will be a 9 shortly :ernaehrung004:

Ditto - Class act to get it right. Nice to see stuff like this in an industry that sometimes has just the opposite news.

I don't even know Magicfloat, but I'd sure do business with him with confidence now.:drink:
