311 exhaust question

Has anyone put Gil manifolds and dry tail pipes on a big block bravo 311, 292, 272?

I have a chance to purchase some used stuff and wondering if the dry tails fit/line up with the factory exhaust holes in the transom or what I'd need to do to make them work.

Thanks

manifolds will work fine ...the pipe angle on the 311's are NOT standard Bravo setup. So it depends on what the pipes you are looking at were designed ....m

Thanks. I'm not sure what pipes the ones that are available are. They're from a Cig Cafe with bravos. The 311 as you know has 3" risers along with the odd angle so these pipes may be totally wrong. Are these spacer wedges available from somewhere? Or do I need to have them machined if I need them. I saw in your thread they were available, but you had them made. Just trying to figure out an approx overall cost for this to see if it's within the budget at the moment.

I had a Machine Shop make mine ...I think it was 200.00 for both motors ...... hardin marine carries them but mo $$$$

When my factory 420 manifolds trashed my starboard engine i went with imco's. i probably spent too much on them but they were the only setup in stock that would guarantee a perfect fit because of the trs drives. i didn't know that the bravo boats didn't have standard exhaust opening location though??? Did that have something to do with the silent thunder???? BTW, the imco tails are pretty close to being dry because i only have about 12" of exhaust passage to mix water before the tip.....very nice sound!!

The exhaust outlets are higher on the transom because of the ST platform I believe. They're barely a couple inches below the rub rail.
