Shipping Cover for 382

I want to buy one. Anybody have one they don't need?

What's the best price on a new one from the factory.
Any deals for OSO folks, Magicfloat?

Magicfloat 03-19-2002 06:59 PM

I may have a near new factory 382 cover in Teal Green. It's th e 2000 cover in Sunbrella. The new covers have a lining underneath , heavier and more expensive. I'll check tomorrow to see if it's available. The new covers retail for $1240, I could work an OSO discount but the teal one would be much cheaper if the color is OK.

ApachePete 03-19-2002 07:57 PM

Hey Magic.

Thanks.

How MUCH cheaper are you talking?

Magicfloat 03-19-2002 08:25 PM

Troutly, you may not beleive it but I sold my red one Saturday to the buyer of my 01 353/575 boat. Don't have anymore laying around at the moment.

Magicfloat 03-19-2002 08:36 PM

Apache Pete, let me check tomorrow,I'll get back to you

ApachePete 03-19-2002 11:31 PM

Magic,
Thanks.

would love to find somebody making covers out of Tyvek for these bigger boats. So far, everyone stops at 26'. Tyvek seems to be the ticket for my needs. Lightweight and thin (folds up real tiny), breathable, but water-shedding, UV barrier. If it is all it is cracked up to be, that's what I want... (for a 311)

Magicfloat 03-20-2002 12:53 PM

Hey ,Pete, checked the 382 Teal cover,it's on a 380 Powerquest I am selling. Right rear corner has 2 maybe 1" tears, easily fixable for maybe $20,otherwise same as brand new factory Formula 382 cover. Does $500 sound fair?

ApachePete 03-20-2002 05:32 PM

Sorry Troutly. I bought it from Magicfloat.

Thanks again, Robert.

Magicfloat 03-20-2002 05:35 PM

Troutly,I can sew 3' onto a 312 cover. Is purple OK? LOL

Magicfloat, where does one do offshore boating in Jasper,AL?

Magicfloat 03-20-2002 06:14 PM

Offshore in Jasper,Al is Lewis Smith Lake,525 miles of shoreline,300'deep,clear freshwater. Karen and I live on the lake,in fact looking out on it now. If I could get rid of the bass boats and the waverunners it would be a perfect paradise. But, hey it's a perfect paradise even with them. I'm a lucky guy to be able to make a living doing what I love, boating. Thanks for asking, brightened my day even more. Robert

ApachePete 03-20-2002 06:22 PM

Sounds great. Are ther many go-fast boats on the lake?
Do you have any competition?

Magicfloat 03-20-2002 06:42 PM

We have a few Fountains,aCig,an HTM,a Scarab or two or three, afew Donzis,Bajas, etc. Just the average mix on a landlocked lake. The boat of choice here, thankfully is Formula. Had a charity Poker Run last summer, had about 100 boats.Hope to top that this year .

Hey Troutly - I heard today that Dan Fellner of Formula's racing program may have a cover for sale. Maybe Boilerdaddy can track him down for you?
