1966 Formula 233 restoration

I recently purchased a 1966 Formula 233, serial # F2366167.

Does this mean this was the 167th 233 built in 1966?

What was the total production of 233 from 1964 to 1969?

What instruments, engines, outdrives, fittings, etc. were used?

Post some pictures!
I'd love to see what she looks like.
What a classic!

I'd assume the same thing, that yours is the 167th off the line.

As for the other info items maybe Boilerdaddy can shed some light on them.

the last two digets are the year made. I think the USG web site has info on how to rid a hull number.

That was a ways back, and ten years before the Porters even bought the company. Given the maverick nature of the whole industry, especially back then, you can image how many detailed records were passed along. Don't have a lot for you...

As for the serial number, the system was kinda arbitrary back then, but I would say that your guess is a pretty good one.

We have a 1966 Formula Jr. in our lobby, across from the 353 FASTech. It's weird to see how things have changed over the years.

Hello to you way down under!!! Welcome aboard. You do have to pay to post pics, but it's not much. I believe you also cannot view pics without paying.

Good luck on your project. Get your membership payed up and post some pics of your project, we'd all be very interested in it.:ernaehrung004:

Check out "formulaboatsforum.com". Pretty good info on the older models there.
