Stupid spark plug question
Sorry....
Ok...now that I got that out of the way.... Port motor missing a bit, so I decided to pull the plugs and see what was what..... I have owned this boat for three years....and had very little time out with her..... Port motor had Autolite AR3933 "Racing" plugs....single electrode.....lots o-carbon....makes sense....smelled a bit "fat" anyway.... Starboard motor has Bosch Platinum R3 964 4-electrode....also coated.... So....logically....what reason other than simply being cheap would the previous owner have to not match plugs all around? Does one or the other mask oil blow by....or run hotter.... Finally, what should be in there? 89 357SR-1 w/ 454's and TRS Thanks |
