just bought a 292 project looking for some info
I just bought a 90 292 with 502 mags in it. its my first big boat, and i'm not sure what to expect out of it. does anyone know what i should be able to run, also what are the stock bravo 1 able to handle when i decide to add more power.?

Depending on the prop you are running upper 60's to 72. Congrats on your buy! Owned mine for a little over a year and im in the process of replacing everything....nonstop money pit....but I love it. Good luck.......share some photos!:ernaehrung004:

I believe that color combo was called "Nassua" (sp?) by Formula. Nice, not so common. A friend has a 242 in that color, very nice.
Judging from that last photo, you've got some work to do in that cockpit. Judging by that, the decks probably need sanding and buffing too. Get the bucket and get going!!! No dirty Formulas allowed!!:drink: |
Congrats on the 292,u have one of 4 292 that has the 502 .I have a 91 w, 502s.With a little work you should get 78-80 mph gps.The seats you can get new vinyl pre cut from the manufacture of the seats.Good luck and post photos of your progress.Look at the post show your Formula and you will see some nice 292s.
