382 fastech sling lifting

Does anyone know if there are specific sling lifting guidelines for a 382. Lift points, foam blocks..ect

I know this is an old topic, but I need the answer as well.
I contacted Scott at Formula boats and this was his reply.
Now we all know.

Hi, Blaine,

We do not have a sling drawing for the 382 (nor for most of the boats we produce)—just put the aft one a few (2-3) feet forward of the transom, and the other just forward of where the windshield and deck meet, and you should be fine.

Thanks,
Scott

That is exactly what i was doing with mine and it always went perfect with no surprise!

That's where we would set yard arms to lift off a trailer, basically put the rear strap a foot or so from transom and the front strap where the windshield meets the deck and take it slow.

You mean like this, I had my 353 slung off when I brought it down South, seemed to work just fine, it did scare me to see the straps on the rub rail though, there's a lot of pressure on it.

Your trailer is what decides where the straps go. It is a good idea to mark your boat so if you have to sling it out of the water you can match the gaps in the bunks of the trailer.
