Getting on the bow

this goes out to all sizes and year owners. How in the heck are you "suppose" to get on the bow . Is it common knowledge and im just a moron . some of the newer stuff looks like the passanger side storage lid might be a step or be strong enough to step on . id just hate to hurt or break my dash on my old 91 . just curiouse how every one alse tackles it

I am actually glad someone asked that question because I wondered the same thing with my scarab! I have walked down the very skinny side section next to the windshield before and I wouldn't want to do that with the boat pitching and rolling

My son gets up on the bow to set the anchor or lines, he steps on the seat then the glove compartment and over the windshield. It`s not to bad I just make sure no waves are coming and it`s calm. My wife even gets up front all 100lbs of her:drink:. Take your time and you will be fine.

Just work as a team

One foot on the storage lid, one foot on the glove-box lid, and up and over.

You need to be light on your feet & cat like, but watch out for the slip & slide on the high gloss waxed deck....

With our 280ss, you swing open the center panel of the windshield, hold the hand rail and walk up the 3 steps and walk down the center of the deck, do a full piroette then continue to the anchor locker on the bow:circle:

My Hustler came from factory with a flip down step to facilitate getting access to the bow. Would be easy enough to add. Probably could get something like it from Boat US.
